What is Random Access Memory (RAM) ??
- The memory of our device is known as primary memory. It is a hardware part of our device. In which data is stored for quick retrieval by the computer processor. Primary memory contains a large number of cells. Each cell is identified by a number, which is called the cell's address (cell address).
- Data is stored in each cell. The cell address is used to retrieve the data when it is needed and to retrieve the data when it is needed. Primary memory is configured in such a way that it has no relation to the time and address for storing or retrieving data. This memory is known as Random Access Memory, also known as Random Access Memory (RAM).
- Random-access memory(RAM) is a temporary type of memory that needs constant power to be stored in the memory. RAM will be reset when power is cut off. At present, the term memory is mostly used instead of primary memory or main memory. The speed of any device depends on its RAM. If you have more RAM in your device, you can do more than one task at a time. Any work you do in your device is done in your RAM. Can quickly.
Types of RAM
There are two main types of random access memory: 1. Static RAM and 2. Dynamic RAM
- Dynamic memory has to be refreshed thousands of times every second. While static RAM does not have to be refreshed a second time, which is why it is faster but more expensive than dynamic RAM. Whatever the type of RAM, it stops working when you stop giving it power. When you restart your Android device, the RAM clears so that we don't have any more difficulty in using the device.
How does random access memory work ??
- When we give our device a task, that device interprets our command. Which are in binary language i.e. in the language of zero and one. We can do together like we can watch videos, chat with a friend, even play a game. So we can do a lot of multitasking but when we do a lot of multitasking our device seems to work a little less. It is due to the low RAM of the device. Let us understand this by an example.
- Suppose when you command your device to play a video, one of your commands goes into your device's processor. Your processor interprets this country to find the location up to that video file and plays the video in front of you. When it is, you can play it in the RAM of the device and not in ROM (Read Only Memory). Now when you do another task, that second task replaces the video that is playing and you do another task. Similarly, when you do the third task, your device's RAM is used more. Thus, if the RAM is more. So you can do more multitasking. Generally, any application, once you open it in your device, consumes at least 200 to 300 MB of RAM. Thus the main function of RAM is to show your work quickly.
